The Curtis Center for Arts and Education is a “college-like” campus for individuals with disabilities and community members to enhance their academic, artistic, and athletic abilities.
Location
The Curtis Center is located at 3101 West 1950 North, just off 2100 North in Lehi, Utah.
The facility parallels beautiful Mt. Timpanogos with the Jordan River bordering the property.
The location lends itself well to parkway development for future outdoor activities such as a pumpkin patch, gardening, greenhouse, and wilderness walkways for exercise.
The Curtis Center for Arts and Education
The Curtis Center is a beautiful facility for individuals with disabilities and community members to enhance their academic, artistic, and athletic abilities.
The campus consists of a beautiful facility that provides learning and growth – a home for educational and vocational pursuits; movement and play – home for athletic events, tournaments, and personal fitness; and arts and gathering – a place of performance.
LEARNING AND GROWTH
Academic instruction including sciences, social studies, mathematics, language arts, humanities, vocational, and social skills training occurs within the walls of this new facility.
MOVEMENT AND PLAY
Fitness, cardio, dance, personal physical improvement, individual and team athletic practices, tournaments all allow for personal development and athletic opportunity.
ARTS AND GATHERING
We welcome all who enter with an interest in the arts. Musical and theatrical performances, gathering and celebrating will take place in this beautiful facility.
GREENHOUSE
We hope in the future to have a greenhouse for growing, nurturing, and learning through plant production. The greenhouse will provide opportunity for vocational development through sale of products
grown as well as providing a sense of accomplishment while watching plant growth.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Curtis Center will provide vocational development skills and employment opportunities through theater ticket and concession sales, greenhouse sales such as holiday pumpkins, janitorial opportunities both inside and outside the center, and set building and tech support for the theater.
